ZIP IT!!!!

So the following day, I continued on sorting zippers. Yesterday was ALL the black zippers, today was the color zippers!! This post is going to be REALLy short because that's what I did the entire day! Around 4 pm, I was sent to do a delivery for ASOS and my day came to a swEEt end!! I caught the tube to Oxford Circus to do a little shopping! Before I could shop, I had to get some fuel...FOOD!! I went to Garfunkel's and it was delicious. I had lasagna (absolute amaZing) and a apple &blackberry crumble for dessert! A good way to end the day!

The Wizard of Oz had just got out and Garfunkel's was PACKED!! There was a line all the way outside the doors! I came in good timing though!! They also serve breakfast; hopefully, I'll ge to try their pancakes, if I wake up earlier enough!
Oxford Circus! This place stays busy!
 Apple store! HUGE!
A Taste of Spain! I was sooo excited but it ended up getting cancelled because of rain!! Geez!! They were going to have salsa dance lessons and most important free fOOd!! #justsaying
It is a TOTAL HASSLE trying to get on the tube around 5 in the evening!

Why MEEEEEE?!!! :)

Bonjour!! JUNE has arrived! Actually, this is the first post about the month of June! #slacker Anyway, when I arived to work, my first task was to finish organizing the rest of the binders from yesterday. Once I finished, I was given the job of going through ALL the pattern cabinets and making sure that their in order! When she told me this, in my head, I was thinking this has GOT TO BE A JOKE!! Omg! Why me!! But I had to grab hold of myself and give me a good ol' shaking! I stayed positive and put a smile on while I counted over 500 patterns. To GOD be the GLORY! I really wanted to pout in the beginning, then I realized that I have to work my way on up. You don't start off at the top...you WORK your way on UP!! That goes for any job, intern, and LIFE! I know that there are bigger things in store for me and GOD just wants to see how I handle those small things! Once I completed this tasks, I was given another one of those "Why me!!" tasks. I had to organize...wait for it...wait for it...ZIPPERS!! I know I said I was going to be positive, but LORD, what are you trying to prove!!lol j/k This may sound easy but it's...it's...I can't even describe it! I had to assort them color. Once their color assorted, I have to seperate them by teeth color, THEN, I had to seperate them by teeth sizes of 1, 3, or 5, and LASTLY, but the length of the actual zipper. I'm not going to lie...even though I was smiling...I was a little upset! (forgive me!) I'm thinking to myself, "I KNOW I didn't come ALL this way to sort...ZIPPERS!" There were soooooooo many...it was RIDICULOUS! I got overwhelmed!! I'm sorry if this is complaining but, I put in a lot of hard work to get here and it was no easy task preparing for London. This is such a BIG step for me and I don't want it to go to waste. In the end, I turned my frown upside down (inside and outside, as well) and I looked at this as a learning experience! I got to learn about different zippers and their uses. Also, I'm buying pants with BUTTONS ONLY....NO ZIPPERS!! In the end, I kind of like bringing order amonst the MANY zippers! When it was getting close to the end of the day, I was still no where near finished (I told you it was a LOT of zippers) so, I asked to do a drop-off for Miss Selfridge! I actually enjoy making the deliveries! I feel like, you never know who you're going to bump into while you're in their office! :)

"What doesn't kill you, will ONLY make you STRONGER!"

I met her on the elevator. This picture does that outfit no justice. The back of that cardigan was so CUTE!
So, I got on the tube and decided to do what most British people do while they're on the tube...read the newspaper! Guess who is in the newspaper...KATE!!
AND....Pippa and friends!!

The END...of MAY!!

I don't have any pictures for this day but I'm just going to give you an overview of my day at work. This is going to be rough week for my hair...I'm so glad I have a beanie and a golf hat! #desperatetimescallfordesperatemeasures Today, my main job was organizing different clientele folders. The other interns and I had to take everything out and reorganize everything by  the following divider headings: cost sheets, photos of garments, development packs, sketches, correspondence, and something that I don't remember! Before I got on this tasks, I had to do some pattern filing and swatching. If you don't know what swatching is...It's when you take the fabric samples that have been mailed in, cut a sample from it, staple it to paper, and put it in the different fabric books. Also, I ate my jerk chicken and rice today for lunch and it was sooo good! Mmmm... There were about 15 binders that needed organizing so, that basically took up the rest of my day.

Let's GO CARNIVALLLLLLLL!!!

These pictures are from Memorial Day...(yeah, I know that was a week and three days ago)...#don'tjudge. Anyway, I spent the holiday with my WOF church family! They were having a carnival in Luton so, that's what my day consisted of. Also, I tried french toast for the first time and it was AMAZING! Mama Met made them from scratch and she put strawberries and bananas on TOP!! Simply wonderful! (Just in case you're wondering who Mama Met is, she is the mother of the first lady, whom I also stayed with.) Later on after breakfast the Ramsey family picked me up and we headed to the CARNIVAL. It was drizzling when we left the house and I just knew it was going to come to a stop...boy, was I WRONG!! It rained the entire time...and people were STILL out! If this was home and it was raining, we would stay at the house, order in, and watch tv!! When it was finally time to go, I looked like a wet poodle and my shoes were soak and wet!

 I
Heading out to go CARNIVAL!! (They used it as a verb! )
 Getting closer...

Why our pedestrians back home don't look like this?!! Theirs are so cool!! I REFUSE to be a pedestrian any longer in the state of Mississippi, until, we get signs like these!!

 Jamaican Cuisine!!
I'm not a fan of hot wings or chicken with bones; however, my life was changed today!! The wing was simply delicious!
JERK CHICKEN!! That's what they call it!! I took some jerk chicken and rice to work th following day! Best lunch EVER!! It was soo good!!
 And you call yourselves security...smh
I still don't understand why all these people are out...GO HOME!! Does rain mean anything to you all?!!!

Baiscally, carnival is another word for block party here! Up this hill, was CROWDED!! I was making my way through the crowd and turned right back around!
